Encouragement For Females…

 

Before you read this, please listen to the song “Beautiful” by MercyMe (please click HERE).

 

Now, in honor of…well, in honor of the fact that you are all so FANTASTIC, we leaders have a long stem red rose for each of you—they are fresh, colorful, vibrant, masterfully designed and created by God, and stunning to behold…

 

…just like each of you!

 

Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 6:28-30 (The Message):

 

”Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them. If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you?”

 

And take pride in you Jesus does, my friends—you are indeed worth more—and are indeed more phenomenal—than these flowers here.

 

You are the crown of God’s creation—the very image of God Himself. You young ladies are His final masterpiece, the last of His creation. Remember what Jesus did at the wedding feast in Cana—how He saved the best wine for last?—and I think you will understand my point here…8-D

 

As you get older, please try not to listen to the definition of beauty as defined by:

 

-Hollywood

-magazines

-pop culture

-other people

-the mirror

-your own eyes

 

All of those ways of defining beauty are flawed—it’s like looking at one of those silly mirrors at a carnival. The image is distorted and does not give you an accurate picture of how beautiful you really are. Please listen to Jesus—the Voice of Truth—who tells you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, beautiful in His sight (and His opinion is really the only one that matters! J) and made to look just as you do!

 

Finally, please read these words from 1 Timothy 2:8 (the Message) in the Bible:

 

“Since prayer is at the bottom of all this, what I want mostly is for men to pray—not shaking angry fists at enemies but raising holy hands to God. And I want women to get in there with the men in humility before God, not primping before a mirror or chasing the latest fashions but doing something beautiful for God and becoming beautiful doing it.”

 

My friends, Jesus has made you to look beautiful and be beautiful with how you live—your actions, words, thoughts, and dreams. It is my prayer that you will give your lives to Jesus each and every day, following Him and becoming even more beautiful in the process…So enjoy—smell the flowers, praise God for His ability and skill in creating, and enjoy each other’s company…And remember—God has made each of you much more beautiful than the flowers, and you are much more valuable and important to Him as well!
